We love quartzite. It’s beautiful.

Sometimes the granite vs. quartz debate overwhelms the conversation about stones, but we think that quartzite is amazing and our customers think so, too. We have many beautiful quartzite slabs arriving each week at our showrooms, and our customers are eager to see them.

Unique

Quartzite is unique, each slab is a snowflake, if you will, each looking different than the next. And they are stunning. With marble effects and a glassy luster, quartzite offers incredible beauty without the concerns of marble. Most quartzite is sourced from Italy, Spain or Brazil. The colors vary by the mineral composition of the region where it is quarried, but quartzite comes in many and varied colors that are like no other stone.

Watch this short video to hear our VP of Sales, John Byrne, and General Manager, Bill Thomas, share their appreciation for the beauty of quartzite.

Durable

As with all natural stones, reasonable care is necessary with quartzite but overall quartzite is versatile and easy to care for in a busy kitchen. It is resistant to staining, abrasion, etching and heat; it requires basic cleaning with mild soap and a sponge.

Versatile

Quartzite is an ideal stone to use if you like the unified look of the countertop and backsplash being the same material – a popular look right now. In addition to countertop surfaces, quartzite is stunning for other applications including fireplace surrounds where its beauty will turn a fireplace into a piece of art.

New quartzite designs arrive weekly to our showrooms, along with other natural stones, quartz and porcelain. If you are intrigued by the beauty of quartzite, Boston Granite Exchange is where you want to visit to see the latest colors and designs with a large selection to choose from.
