Most people are familiar with Habitat for Humanity, a global organization that helps families in need secure affordable permanent housing by partnering with them and the community to build their own home. This gives the homeowners a sense of self-reliance and stability, along with the benefit of belonging to a community that has come together to help them achieve their dream of home ownership.

Boston Granite Exchange has had a close partnership with Habitat for Humanity of Cape Cod for almost 15 years. BGE has donated many slabs of granite to projects over the years, giving these families the opportunity to have quality surfaces in their new homes that they otherwise may not have been able to afford.

This year, Boston Granite Exchange was recognized with the Golden Hammer Business Award from Habitat for Humanity of Cape Cod for its continued donations of natural stone and quartz for kitchen countertops and other surfaces. John Byrne, VP of Sales at BGE, shared that “while it’s nice to be recognized, it’s really about the satisfaction of giving back and helping families in need acquire homes of their very own.”

As a business that was founded on relationships, Boston Granite Exchange truly values its long-standing partnership with Habitat for Humanity of Cape Cod and the opportunity to help others through that connection.
