Remodeling your kitchen is a big job; it’s time consuming and it can be stressful. With the guidance of your general contractor and perhaps your interior designer, you are making multiple decisions about the layout and materials for your new kitchen. At Boston Granite Exchange we want to help you avoid some of the stress of the process.

Planning your visit:

We are proud of the beautiful stones we have in our showrooms and we want you to enjoy visiting and choosing the stone that is just right for you. But walking into our showroom without planning your visit first might leave you overwhelmed and that takes the fun out of looking for the perfect stone for your remodel. To help you prepare for your visit, we have redesigned and are continuously updating our website so you can begin the process of choosing the stone for your remodel from the comfort of your own home. You can explore the many different types of stone we offer and determine which stone is best for your home and lifestyle.

Beginning your search at home lets you find out which types of stone suit your lifestyle. If you have young children who will be snacking and doing homework at the counter, you will probably choose a different stone than if you are an empty nester. If you love to cook and are always working in the kitchen, heat resistance and abrasion resistance performance will be more important to you than if you prefer takeout. Learning about the properties of the stones available to you will help you to narrow down what you are looking for.

Visiting our Showroom to Browse:

We encourage you to make notes of what you see on the website that you like as well as any questions that come up as you browse the site. Understanding what we have and having an idea of what you want will likely make your visit more pleasing and productive. Your time is valuable, and we want your visit to the Boston Granite Exchange Showroom to be comfortable and enjoyable. When you are ready to visit bring along your notes so we can answer your questions and point you toward the types of stone you have determined will be right for your project.

Making Your Final Selection:

An initial visit may focus on narrowing down your choices. Many homeowners return to make their final selection, placing the specific slabs on hold.  This is exciting as you are now at the final stages of converting a beautiful slab(s) into your kitchen countertop!

When you are at this stage, planning ahead will help you.  If a visit on a Saturday works best for you, please contact us in advance so we can arrange to have the slab or slabs available for your viewing.  During the week, we move slabs for customers up to 4pm so if your schedule requires a visit after 4pm Monday – Friday, simply call in advance and we will do our best to have the slabs available for your viewing.  For your safety and the safety of all in the showrooms, slabs are not moved on Saturdays. Keep in mind that stone comes in huge slabs which are heavy and require industrial equipment to move them around the showroom. This is dangerous work, so in order to ensure the safety of our visitors and employees, is only done on weekdays before 4pm.

At Boston Granite Exchange we love to show off the many types of beautiful stone we have gathered from around the world. To make the most of your visit start at our website. Learn what you like and then come to one of our showrooms and let us answer any questions you have before you walk through our rows of natural stones and quartz in search of the slab that is perfect for your project.
