What is etching of natural stones?
Etching is the impact of acidity on the natural stone. Acids such as from red wine, orange juice and lemons can etch the natural stone dulling the finish and changing the texture. Marble is more susceptible to etching as compared to granite, soapstone and quartzite which are etching resistant.
